Team MarthaRecently club members joined Martha Bedal in supporting The Lance Armstrong Foundation's fight against cancer. Team Martha, consisting of 17 riders, raised over $11,000 for this cause. Four couples, James and Fancy Graham, Leonard and Joan Moore, Paul and Tory Dubiel and Richard and Martha Bedal, rented a house for two weeks in Southern France. To get there, the Grahams and Bedals bicycled from Toulouse to Le Verdier, via the Midi Canal and Carcassone. During the two weeks at the house the four couples took numerous bicycle adventures together and apart to explore the beautiful country side and nearby castles. They took turns cooking dinner and shared their daily adventures over food and wine. |
